What are the options regarding a career break ? Can we still apply for one ?

Yes. I think the criteria is 2 years minimum continuous service and a good attendance record. The minimum period away from work is 6 months and the maximum 2 years ( though this can be extended ?) Whilst away from Royal Mail you cannot be in other employment.

Interesting that a guy at our place took a career break of 2 weeks. Wanted a month but they wouldn’t give it. So took 2 weeks unpaid. Makes things laughable reallyz

Sounds like he was given "Special Leave" ?

Possibly, but it was classed as a career break and everyone was told as such. Bizarre really
