Sick child
So on Christmas eve, I could not make it into work as one of my twin babies was ill. Today, when i was back to work my line manager came to me and told me that his dom had told him that he was to question me on why I was off he asked me why I was off work, what hospital did i take my child to and how long did it take? all done in a manner that i felt was inappropriate, i had already explained all this when i phoned in on Monday at no point did he ask me how my child was doing now. my question is can i be interrogated in this way? and if not what would be the best course of action? This was unpaid leave.

That's what I thought. I was under the impression that this was classed as dependents leave and I don't have to share any information with them other than my child is sick and I had to look after them. Certainly not what time my child was at hospital and for how long or who with.Creditshampoo wrote:I’d say it’s non of their business and personal data I don’t wish to share

You are entitled to time off for dependents but this is normally without pay.
