What is the latest from HQ?
Does anybody know what's happening?
Should we hold out for 'back to previous start time' or compromise?
What is everybody doing?

Nothing to do with HQ!!!!!
It's all LOCAL agreements.

But...if our unit says we want to go back to original time and the DOM says 'no can do' how far can we push it?
They just can't say 'no' surely?

Or what? HQ will say it's down to local agreement and if there is no agreement it will be staged up but at the end of the day you're pretty much on your own.
Our Office is split some do and some don't.

example of what this deal is going to do nothing to do with us mate just get on with and you ll have nowhere to turn because the union are hopeless

Well you do get those wags who say "We are the union" - unfortunately we don't get the same pay or pension as the leadership.

having a wee problem in our office regarding sat starts area rep came to our office last thursday asked by the som to go from office to office in the sector and get feeling of every unit some units have agreed to go to 5.30 some want to stay at 5.00 at our unit membership voted to stay as per agreement area rep then informed us RM unlikely to agree to 5.00 and told us we probably be looking at rule13 ballot what will be will be then but the agreement has just been signed off and there moving the goalposts already looks like we will have to make a stand going to be unit by unit though.thanks to HQ for leaving us in the s**t NO HELP NO GUIDENCE.

We took a vote sometime ago and the feeling was mixed but the consensus was that we would go to an earlier start but not as early as previous - we had thought around 5.30./5.45, but really it is about what time you are allowed to leave on delivery isn't it.

Aye Unions are a strange thing - it must be one of the few places where the bosses (us) get paid less than those who work for them.

If feeds of mail come in on time we could do a 5.00 to 13.00 easily as there is allways mail there from the friday, could start on P/t frames till mail arrives if ips done there is allways ways

You can all push it as far as you want if they (ROYALMAIL) DO NOT ABIDE BY AGREEMENTS WHY SHOULD YOU ALL.

Following Royal Mailâ€™s implementation of start times we have now successfully negotiated that Saturday start times and the overall length of attendance will revert back to the previous situation.

All offices will now have the opportunity to review those changes locally."

How is this not clear? We reviewed it, now we should revert.

Our office voted and changed its saturday start to 5am. I think the agreement allows offices to go back to the orginal start time on Saturdays.

In our office we voted to go back to 5am starts but we were told that it wasn't going to happen and that if we tried to force it then management would hold the lorries back to their official timings and they would hold us to every small bit of the agreement (if we don't agree to them then they will just get us with something else)

the words of the agreement are quite clear. if the office wants to go back to preimplementation start times it should mandate the local rep to inform local management and then just turn up at original start times. maybe pressure could be put on area reps to co-ordinate all offices to start at original times. i have no doubt there will be reluctance from area reps to do this after all they dont want to be sent back to duty.
