upcoming reps elections.

elections for new/existing reps are coming next month. a few people in our office are putting their name forward for unit reps and sub reps. mainly because they are unhappy with the existing reps. anyhow, our unit rep is actually now the area rep, and his sub rep is doing the unit rep job at our office. it has been announced that the area rep is standing against anyone putting in for the office rep and is also putting in for the area rep again once the voting starts. can people apply to be both? if he gets the office job then the area job what happens then?
