Could anyone please tell me how postal workers go about getting the free redirection service?

When I used it I had to get the line manager to print off a form off the company intranet, then sent it off to the redirection centre with a couple of wage slips as proof.
You could always ring customer services up on 08457 740740 for help.

If I remember correctly you fill in the redirection application just like any one else and hand it to your line manager. There is a box to fill in for Royal Mail employees and your line manager verifies that you are currently employed by the company and sends it off. That's what I did with mine just over a year ago so unless they've changed it that's what you do.
Down with the blackleg, all workers unite.

No.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
