I keep getting left nasty notes in RM van to not use it by a full time postie.. is this classed as bullying ?
As far as I'm aware I can use whichever van is free to do collections and parcels in the afternoons?

Does he own it? he may have given up half his pension just to own the van for the time he is not employed by royal mail or he is anal about anyone sat in his seat or may not like the van looking like a McDonald's at closing time!abuch1980 wrote:I keep getting left nasty notes in RM van to not use it by a full time postie.. is this classed as bullying ?

I thought it was up to managers to allocate vehicles - although at ours they delegate that to the key room/prio locker.abuch1980 wrote:I keep getting left nasty notes in RM van to not use it by a full time postie.. is this classed as bullying ?

Hide some frozen prawns in the cab and take the notes to the Dom

Ha I like your style. I wouldn't lower myself to start writing notes back as I've never even met the guy.

I'd start work 5 mins early just to do it and some days just fill up the back of the van with empty trays

In our DO the posties who do collections will usually use the van they have used that day to deliver whichever walk they did that day. Exceptions to that would include if a different van needed to be taken to be repaired/serviced or maybe if it was a white/hire van.
Probably the main annoyances are fuel being used quicker, vans being left with little or virtually no diesal in them, mess & litter left in vans, or damage or faults in vans that were not there before. General lack of respect in short.

He doesn't own it, he doesn't pay for the diesel in it.
His round does about 40-50 miles. The collection barely 5/6 miles.
I leave it tidier than I get it as full timers never clean the van on their van wash day.
Our yard is tiny so his van is always nearest the gate so if I was to use another van I'd have to move every single other van to get to it.
