Child Friendly Hours and Appointments

Do 'Child Friendly Hours' still apply through school holidays(half term/summer etc)and on any Saturday during the year?Also should you need to make an appointment such as doctors/dentists this should be made outside of your working hours?I appreciate you might need an emergency appointment but as a general rule it shouldn't be done within the hours you work?Any replies appreciated ta.

Appointments with consultants are difficult to arrange outside of working hours.
So it would depend on the nature of the problem and the level of expertise needed to deal with it.

I have to attend with my son to Great ormond street hospital for an operation they have to perform every 6 months. I ask about this family friendly rubbish everytime and its refused, they say if you want to go it will be unpaid?? That's it? where does the friendly bit come in I ask myself
