It will be driven by the AHDC outputs I would imagine. In theory if those show that your day is full of productive work then they'll need to invest more hours in the operation. In practice I think they'll just accuse you of being crap at the job and take it off the beginning of the shift.SpacePhoenix wrote:How will it be done in MCs? 15 mins of each day at the start of shifts Tue-Fri or a whole hour of the start of a shift?
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

It'll probabaly work better in DOs, where all (all at least most of) your work is available when you start. On either late shift or night shift in MCs you have the external factors of what time vans or artics come in at and whether they are on time on a given dayfishtank wrote:It will be driven by the AHDC outputs I would imagine. That's not the reality in any DO I've worked in.It'll probabaly work better in DOs, where all (all at least most of) your work is available when you start.
At best around 1/3 of our work is available at our start time, the rest is subject to the same variables as you mention.

Just wait until more work arrives later in DOs and you have to deliver the LAT stuffA2B wrote:Obviously got no idea of working in deliverySpacePhoenix wrote: It'll probabaly work better in DOs, where all (all at least most of) your work is available when you start. What the hell has that got to do with your previous comment?SpacePhoenix wrote:Just wait until more work arrives later in DOs and you have to deliver the LAT stuffA2B wrote:Obviously got no idea of working in deliverySpacePhoenix wrote: It'll probabaly work better in DOs, where all (all at least most of) your work is available when you start. We all have a start and finish time, if i'm leaving the office later and that means i won't be able to complete on time i either cut off or arrange overtime, it's a very simple

They'll probably have to move your start and finish times laterA2B wrote:What the hell has that got to do with your previous comment?SpacePhoenix wrote:Just wait until more work arrives later in DOs and you have to deliver the LAT stuffA2B wrote:Obviously got no idea of working in deliverySpacePhoenix wrote: It'll probabaly work better in DOs, where all (all at least most of) your work is available when you start. Perhaps, wouldn't really bother me to be honest. But let's consider for once that by whatever means they make the MC more efficient? I know you're going to come back and say it's not possible but you can bet your last penny they will be coming for hours from processing as they are from deliverySpacePhoenix wrote: They'll probably have to move your start and finish times later

It goes to the wire as it is in MCs so with any less time, there's a very good chance that the work will end up going out to DOs laterSpedley wrote:I'm pretty sure it actually said in the agreement that rather than introduce later working, the shorter week would be taken off the beginning of the shift.
