Just a few things we could try?

Post by weetrogg »

Unfortunately no matter how many times RM have been exposed as being incompetent, fraudulant liars(senior management)Nobody in a position to do anything about it is interested, so although im sure a lot of you on here have already emailed your MP, its about time we started a concerted campaign to let everybody know whats going on
We should all go on writetothem.com an get in touch with your local councillors, euro MPs and your local MPs an ask them why they are standing by and letting a once great british company be run into the ground all in the name of profit, while at the same time delivering a third world service. I was also wondering if we could draw up some kind of petition and get it signed by friends, family and customers. Not sure what the wording of the petition would be, any suggestions???
I know it should be the union doing this but they have lets us down big time!!! So get on to writetothem.com and let them know whats happening and hopefully we can get rid of these two clowns :cfo :lfo

I have sent the following email to my local msp and mp.
Whether or not it will do any good who knows but if enough of us try then maybe we might achieve something.

As a postman working in the **** & **** area for the past 16 years I find it totally demoralising to see what was once the best in the world at delivering communications become such a shambles. Liberalisation of the mail market may or may not be the proper route to go down but for Labour & Postcomm to allow Royal Mail to become guinea pigs for the rest of Europe was and is pathetic. I would like you and the rest of the Liberal Democrats to challenge the direction and destruction of this service to the UK. Do not allow it to become a profit at all cost business when so many people rely on this company as a service. Challenge Postcomm about the unlevel playing field they have achieved by prohibiting Royal Mail from lowering prices to bulk user businesses but allow the competition to do the same. Challenge Postcomm on their Prohibiting Royal Mail from increasing the downstream access price that the competition pay Royal Mail to deliver their mail over the final mile so that it might encourage the competition to properly compete against Royal Mail by setting up their own network delivery.
Thank you for reading this

Maybe you should have read the news last year, The Liberal Democrats were in favour of privatising 51% of Royal Mail. :wave

Any pressure on Labour & postcomm will do me. A lib dem is my MP unfortunately but at least I know they will never get into govern. They are voted in to work for us and so lets use them to our advantage.

Yes I agree, but you'll find the typical politician thier, all out for themselves.

Do you really think an MP on the kind of wages and perks they get will use Royal Mail for thier 'urgent deliveries'??

I think not, about time we sacked the lot of them. :nana

The downside to being an MP is that they have to be nice to the scumbags called the general public since it is we who vote the twats in. So every 4 years they pull their heads out of each others arses and pamper to us.

Yep fraid he's right ,contacted my local Lib MP ,might have well been speaking Greek. PRECIS of course we must liberalise the postal market ,but we must mitigate the worst effects of this transformation.
Safe issues , agenda setting give me a break ,how many of you people out there still believe we live in a representative democracy?

We don't live in a dictatorship. Anyone can protest right outside parliament, even set up a tent and be a thorn in the government's side. Oh, hang on... the Government passed a provision banning all unlicensed protests, permanent or otherwise, in the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 :no no

Maybe you're right after all

My local MP works for the treasury as pps to Alistair Darling, i have sent her numerous emails explaining whats ggoing on, she understands it but will do nothing about it, so i have stuck up poster at are local labour club denouncing the New Labour party and what they have become, i have also pointed out that since Gordon the moron took over this government is very similar to RM ie, directionless, deceitful and completely incompetent. I am current trying to get mt branch to write her a letter from all the postal workers explaining that the way things currently are, we will be activly campaigning against her in the next election.

We arranged meetings with our local MPs and they agreed with us that the current senior management are in their words "charlatans" but claim its nothing to do with them its for the board and the CWU to sort out rubbish, thats like saying crime is nothing to do with them, its up to the police and criminals to sort out. altough it shouldnt be the case the only way to get these self serving parasites to take any notice is to badger and harass them at every oppurtunity and try to organise local campaigns to get voted out at the next election!!! :Applause :Applause :Applause

I know people will say that then we have no voice if we dont support the New labour party, well to that i say we have no voice within New labour and the only way to make any politician take note is to kick them out!! So although it might seem pointless please keep sending them regurly reports of the farce that is RM, My MP must be sick to death of me i send her and the euro MPs at least two emails a week and sometimes i even get replies
