mortons neuroma

i have just been diagnosed with mortons neuroma, which is nerve damage in the metatarsal area in the foot, it is extremely painful and i currently take 6 painkillers and rub in ibuprofen gel before i go out on delivery, but 13 miles and 4 hours later i am in agony, and this happens nearly every day, my boss has written to the royal mail people in charge of this type of thing and hopefully i can get fitted with some appropiate footwear and insoles, as one of the things i need is enough space inside the shoe to spread my toes, and have no pressure from the top of the shoe, i am also off to have a series of steroid injections.

I had my Morton’s neuroma removed last August. Off work for about 8 weeks then on light duties(throwing walks up, tidying up) for about 3 weeks. Then slowly doing more, gradually.
All good now. No more stabbing pain in my foot.
I felt like I could put the knife in my foot myself and just cut the nerve out. The sudden spasm of pain was that much.
All back to normal now, but at the time I thought it was never going to be right. Just a matter of time to heal inside.

Get them removed as soon as possible, if the growth gets too big they may refuse to remove them,
Not trying to scare you but this happened to somebody I know
