It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

what about overtime ? do we get 5.4% back pay on overtime worked since 1st October also?

Arrears of rise in OT rates
Yes the rise is also on Mon-Sat OT (but not on SA or Sunday OT).
But the arrears for OT are not being paid next Friday.
OT arrears usually take a couple of weeks to be worked out,
but with Xmas and New Year in between, they probably won't be paid until sometime in January, yet to be notified.
There is no increase on shift allowances.

Dear Colleague
Pay and Modernisation Agreement 2007 – Pay Increase, Lump Sum and Pay Arrears Payments
Further to LTB 1040/07 confirming the endorsement of the above Agreement we have now been advised by the business that the £175 lump sum payments, the new pay rates and any arrears due will be received on the following pay dates:
Weekly paid staff – 14th December 2007
Monthly paid staff – 24th December 2007
Any enquiries on the above should be directed to the DGS(P) Department.

I have never known arrears of OT to be paid later from the basic pay arrears.
