Very nice poster, reminds me of an old vaudeville poster from the 30s - hopefully the content won't be the same. :whistle

Don't think I'll bother going to see the tour , Terry pullinger the lead singer announced the new album " we're on the cusp of something special" had a listen to it , sounds a lot of shite to me.

It is based on the old Royal Mail Divisions and Leeds was and still is in the CWU North East Division.

What are you worried about ? You will continue to rubbish the agreement whether your view of the agreement is correct or not.

The CWU in the lead up to the ballot had engaged the members in a massive way and they want to ensure that all reps understand the context of the deal and they want to allow Branch"s to meet with the members in all unit so they know what the agreement means.

That is what a responsible union does. Additionally there is a meeting this week with government minsters over the new pension scheme.

I do plenty of members meetings doing seven offices this week and the common criticism from members is that we are good at getting the members to vote yes for strike action but we are not as good as explain what has been achieved from the negotiations and the potential impact on them.

Hence why there is ample time for every office/shift to have a meeting.

The Negativity and cynicism from some members is unbelievable. Dingo is spot on. The CWU nationally have undertaken to inform all Unit Reps and therefore ALL members as much as possible

Along with the excellent social media campaign surely the Union is doing it's very best to keep the members informed .Many may disagree with the "Negotiators Agreement"thats fair enough but surely no-one can say that we as members have not been kept informed!! The forthcoming "Reps Tour" is vital in my opinion to keep local reps up to speed .

Who is going to explain the pension "solution" to members?
Saying Royal Mail were going to do this and that and mentioning the apparent £1 billion six times doesn't explain anything, Royal Mail managers have been briefed not to discuss the CDC scheme, how do you explain something that doesn't exist, might never exist, has no legal framework and has no real like for like examples? What are members actually voting for, the transition scheme? Asking members to vote on half an agreement with little if any information is shameful.

It's another fine mess isn't it but we'll stick our fingers in our ears and pretend everything will work out in the end. As long as we get the deal through we can go back to the day job and it's all good.

You do know the definition of therefore don't you? "
There are some members who don't even know an agreement has been reached.
