Hi all
Just after some clarification if anyone can help!
I have always done ‘volunteer overtime ‘ on a regular
basis and like to think that I ve gone the extra mile
all be it ‘paid for’ of course my question is about it being
shared equally between staff,I seem to be ‘railroaded’ into pm
overtime more and more and if I say I can’t am not (for want of
a better word!)allowed in till my duty time for at least the next wk!
Other members seem to get ‘to pick/automatically ‘get put down for
am prepping and choose not to ‘help out ‘pm!
Is there anything in agreements about overtime being shared equally
for am or is it just a take it and leave it sort of thing!?
The other question is about holiday pay ,if you do over your contracted
hours on a regular basis are you entitled to percentage of hours worked on o/t

Any help
Thanks

Hi
Firstly thanks
I m not on a s/a or s\a rate
The main point being to clarify post is regarding
any agreements in place regarding AM overtime being shared equally?!?
Seems in my depot that the same few are always on it even when o/t
is being cut
Thanks and any advice!

Afraid that's RM all over, the Dom is either pally with those on IPS overtime or he doesn't want to rock the boat and knows the likes of you will pickup loops in the afternoon.

If he wont let you in to do AM overtime tell him he can stuff his PM overtime until you can have an equal share of the AM overtime.

:Applause :chuckle
I ve done that on more than one occasion to make my point!
Just told ‘if you won’t do pm you ll do nothing!’
:arrrghhh is how I feel especially as I do seem to go extra mile
as they always at least thank me at the time!!
Hence why I d like to see if there’s anything in black and white!!
Thank you

I appreciate what you are saying, particularly if you need the overtime.
Do you always complete or do you cut off at your contracted finish time?

I ve always completed think I ve only ‘worked to time’ once
as certain things happened and was easier!
I complete the duty I m signed to now it does take me over my time
but being p/t tops contracted hours up
Would just like the option of coming in early each morning the same as others
Or for it to be split between us all hence asking if there’s any rules on it!
I have dug them out on numerous occasions which I get thanked /payed for but
just feel so un appreciated as usually one of the first ones to be dropped from list !

Speak to your rep and insist that he takes this matter up with the DOM and that overtime is apportioned fairly across the unit for both am and pm. If he refuses to do this put in a grievance to the DOM and see it through to its conclusion.

And I'd just like to say how Pissed Off I am at being forced onto Leave and banned from Overtime.... goes to show the need to have a second job... I'd like to see the managers take out walks if their "goto man" stops doing overtime permanently. Serious not happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The fair allocation of Overtime should be overseen by the Union and only if there are no takers within the unit should the Overtime then be offered to greedy bastards like myself.

What do you mean by “forced onto leave”
