Transferred to different office and been part time for 20 years with Royal Mail but job come up in new office and for full time hours but was overlooked to someone with 10 years service I was told because they had a full time contract and seniority worked different for full timers and part timers is this correct

Normally I'd think no just like you but if your new office has a full complement of full timers then I reckon that's why you couldn't be made up to full time.
Having said that if a full time vacancy cropped up presumably it was because someone left/retired etc so assuming they're not reducing a duty to part time then there should still be a full time job available, perhaps you can get your Dom to clarify it a bit better.

What about the people in that office who've done ten years and are waiting for a duty and then people transfer in above them and take the job ?952397997 wrote:Transferred to different office and been part time for 20 years with Royal Mail but job come up in new office and for full time hours but was overlooked to someone with 10 years service I was told because they had a full time contract and seniority worked different for full timers and part timers is this correct
Was it your choice to transfer ?
I'm number 6 out of 32 in my office and 3 above me have transferred in ... Not really a major issue for me but a few grumblings from others lower down ... If they want to transfer they should go to the bottom of the list for that office (keeping their leave and other allowances)
