DTRE?

Can anyone tell me what it stands for and what it is? Our manager keeps bringing it up at work time lying sessions and despite us repeatedly asking what the hell he is talking about, He has yet to tell us.

He's probably reading from a script and he hasn't a clue what it means, just like respect, understanding and mutual consent. Though I don't know either.

LOL. We beat you to it when we asked him to spell the word and then checked his notes. I swear you could not make the crap up, our bosses seem to be the most uneducated planks on the planet. Our DUM is known for his spelling mistakes and stupidity, I pay to see him on Countdown, it would be the funniest show ever.

Basically its a project to increase the amount of walksorted mail going into DOs.

The aim is to remove all direct bags into DOs. They will now go into MC get cut, tipped and searched for any mech mail!

Its already going on in a lot of mail centres / areas!

Basically means loss of hours to Deliveries / more hours in Mail Centre.

yet another fine example of how a mail centre can take hours out of delivery without asking, if a delivery office turned round and said we could take x amount of work from mail centre and it will improve perfomance,mail centre would erupt and walkout but not delivery they are that downtrodden they just say okay and accept.why is one function taking work from another function and why is nothing being said? surely this is cross function and yet a closer step to part time work on delivery while mc hold on to hours to maximise their own jobs.
QUESTIONS NEED TO BE ASKED.

Spot on ,one of the main implications of this crap deal ,such agreements will now be local and thus implicitly sectional, brace yourselves for a management cost cutting feeding frenzy, union dog eat union dog and CWU leadership wash their hands and say it's all down to you local reps, sorry we delivered an agreement and you were'nt up to it

correct that is one of the points i was trying to get over,they are going to put function against function which is why we have to oppose any funtion crossover as it will only divide us and make us easier to pick off, we need to think carefully before we agree to any change and what the possible outcomes going to be.

As for the DO blues.... If they want me they will have to come and catch me first.... And with my flat feet and all i wouyld be no good....

Ive done my time on the walks.. I think tho ONLY NEWBIES should have to do at least 2 years in a DO before they get a job on RM from now on..... I see them flooding MC's with em and PT workers... Now if RM asked all the senior men and ladies on Walks if they wanted to cross to MC's or Dist. DRIVING ect. Then fill there jobs in with Newbies.... Like an apprentiship......

There was not so long ago a shortful of new people in DO's AND many cant get staffed...

So Give the senior people a chance to move over to Far less stressfull physical work and take a MC job where its boring but easyer...

I know a delivery now is murder... And thats only 7 years ago i moved...
