Re: ATOS ORIGIN
You should be getting an appt to go and see the R M doctor? they dont normally ring when you have been off longer than a week. When you put your line in all you then do is attend the doc appts they send you. Why are they ringing you to your house? The doctors or the managers in your office?shortyboy wrote:JUST A QUICK QUESTION IS THERE ANYWAY WE CAN TAKE THE OHS PEOPLE IN THIS COMPANY UP ON CHARGES TO STOP THEM USING THE TACTICS THEY ARE USING TO GET PEOPLE BACK TO WORK AND TAKING PEOPLE OFF D.D.A. Something needs to be done with this shower of s**t!
Being on Nights we have recently had our so called medicals, that we have been fighting for for the past 5 years. All we got was a phone call from them and a few questions asked and we were all given the okay!
I know for a fact we have on our shift a self harmer, a chronic alcoholic, 2 DDA cases and 3 people suffering from severe stress.
These people need help and have all been seen or spoken to by the OHS, and to be honest the business doesn't give a feck, they are only interested in ticking boxes so that they can tell everyone they have so called employee care procedure.
Sorry about the rant, but the very name Origin make my blood boil, especially since we have lost a few close friends who should have come up on their radar!

Re: ATOS ORIGIN
ATOS Origin are no longer a part of RM. They have been 'outsourced' (privatised), and get a fee for dealing with each case. You are now given an initial telephone assessment if you are referred to them by your manager, and then if they consider it is worth having a face to face interview (or you request one) you get an appointment which may be weeks later. Their main purpose seems to be helping RM get rid of people.shortyboy wrote:JUST A QUICK QUESTION IS THERE ANYWAY WE CAN TAKE THE OHS PEOPLE IN THIS COMPANY UP ON CHARGES TO STOP THEM USING THE TACTICS THEY ARE USING TO GET PEOPLE BACK TO WORK AND TAKING PEOPLE OFF D.D.A. I`ve found them to be the opposite.
I think I should be finished and the stupid cow said my illness is controllable with Meds, this is despite the fact that there isn`t a cure for my condition and that they expect me to go back to work in 4 to 6 weeks time.
The best bit was she said I have talked to the bullyboy area manager and he wanted me to see a post office quack(presumably to offer me ill health grounds but that would cost them some money)but she was happy to say I should be able to return to work,What without you even seeing my Specialist medical notes????
Also she says I`m depressed....really?
You mean i`m not pissed off with having to keep being mithered to death off RM every f***ing week and the fact that the union doesn`t want to rock the boat either as `RM are a caring employer`cwu tm quote off HQ.
I`ve got to the stage now where if the phone rings I leave it to be picked up off the answer machine!
Totally f****d off with the lot of them.

Atos and a royal mail doctor
What is the difference between the 2? I know they both work for R M , but some are like a welfare thing and then the R M Doctor. If they send to to the R M high up doctor is it then serious?

we have had quite a few dda cases paid off on ill health retirement as royal mail are now being cute and saying they are trying to accommodate them by moving them to other areas to help their conditions eg asmathics due to dusty atmosphere in mail centre but when time comes there is nowhere to move them to and suddenly royal mail have fulfilled their obligations and can now pay them off on ill health as there is nothing more they can do with them we are also getting more dda cases going onto stages due to ohs/atos origin recommendations that they have had to many absences and it is now unreasonable for royal mail not to take them down the conduct code is this a nationwide problem or is it only happening in northern ireland as we seem to have a lot of test cases coming our way another is part days now being included into the attendance procedure even though their is no national agreement for this to happen at present we are in the process of fighting this but it seems every other week there is something new they try to implement

been one all their life and 15 years in the job have another asthmatic 20 years in the job probably going down the same road interviewed by atos and found to be fit for work even though is off with continual chest problems looks like they don`t even want to go down the ill health retirement now and might be going for there first test case of actually paying a dda of from taking to many days off to see if they can get away with it i know previously at i.t.s they got there arses wiped by union and took to the cleaners for paying off dda people but must have something up their sleeves maybe thats why vast majority of stages are now issused so they can claim no discrimination is taking place as they issue stages to everyone regardless now worth a thought anyway any imput would be most helpful

why not ask for a 13 ballot
Shortboy our you a rep in the mcentre- if so....get member to put a greivence against these ATOS persons- if asthmatic member has specialist (no doubt) then get a letter from specialist to give to this company ATOS and let them go against the members specialist- put in a disagreement as well or tell your rep to do it, you cant discriminate against the D.D.A. hence the reason you call it D.D.A.shortyboy wrote:been one all their life and 15 years in the job have another asthmatic 20 years in the job probably going down the same road interviewed by atos and found to be fit for work even though is off with continual chest problems looks like they don`t even want to go down the ill health retirement now and might be going for there first test case of actually paying a dda of from taking to many days off to see if they can get away with it i know previously at i.t.s they got there arses wiped by union and took to the cleaners for paying off dda people but must have something up their sleeves maybe thats why vast majority of stages are now issused so they can claim no discrimination is taking place as they issue stages to everyone regardless now worth a thought anyway any imput would be most helpful
