Election for office rep

what is the due process for electing a new office rep as our current rep seems to think it is in his jurisdiction to question peoples extended delivery and to inform management that many of our rounds are too small.In fact he,s on leave this week and has sent a text saying " get ready for flexibility and bigger town rounds, dont trip over your dummies"

FECK HIM OFF... HE AINT A SCREW... Sounds like the job of rep has gone to his head... GET HIM OUT....

Put in a letter with as many of your workers who feel the same and stick it in to Your branch rep and say you have lost faith in your rep and want a ballot for a new one... He should then tell you how to go about it..

YOU NEED AS EVERYONE DOES NEED A STRONG OFFICE AT THESE TIMES... A BLOKE LIKE THIS IS A SCREWS BITCH!!!

You need to get together a hound this ^&*^% out of his position, god this deals gonna be bad enough without having managers lapdogs in a reps position. Maybe redrich you may have to step up to the plate??? Go on mate

Stand against him at the next election. If he's that bad you'll win no problem.

Pity we can't put DOMs through the same procedure!

With enough pressure any bent union rep dom or wall will fall down for we are many and they are few. United we stand and divided they fall, all for one and one for all. FOR THIS IS WHAT ALL UNIONS ARE ABOUT NOT POWER AND PRIVILAGE!.

Get a vote of no confidence in this rep. Get your colleagues to sign this vote of no confidence and submit this to the Branch Chair/Branch Secretary.

They will have to act on this as quite clearly the members in your office have lost confidence in this person and do not feel like that they can trust him.

A branch election will have to be held.

Well the reason i asked is that i thought that elections could be held at this time of year to vote in a new rep.Our rep is adamant he will be there to oversee the office changes so we can get no information from him and after leaving several messages for the area rep we have had no response from him either.The area rep sat in on a meeting with our rep and the DOM some time ago and said he was very concerned by some of the things he had heard then.We did push for a vote of no-confidence but this didn,t seem to get us anywhere either.We have somebody willing to step up to the plate but just need the right information to get him elected before this window closes.

Speak to your Branch asap.

It may well be that the election notice has been sent to your current Rep, who hasn't put it on the notice board for obvious reasons of saving their own skin.

If the members in your office submit a vote of no confidence in this rep it will not matter if the deadline for election nominations closes.

It is the responsibility of the Branch Chair to ensure that all reps/officers within your branch are doing the job properly and representing the members. It is up to him to deal with this problem once you have submitted a vote of no confidence in your rep.

Nominations for Branch Officers and Reps usually take place in December, and in my Branch the AGM takes place in February, followed by the election for any contested places. Your Branch will tell you of the exact deadlines for nomination and elections.
But this would mean that your current Rep may have already signed an unacceptable local agreement before
he is replaced.
He should get any local agreement checked and agreed by the Area Rep and/or Branch before he signs it,
but if he is in the Manger's pocket he may not do so. Of course he should also get the members to agree it.
So you may need to pass a motion of no confidence and remove him. Contact your Area Rep and Branch Secretary for sdvice.
