SATURDAY EARLY STARTS

we were told in wtl that we cant go back to early starts if a yes vote was reached
as it obviously has now we were told today that we are to start at our old times sort all the m3 ready for monday but only deliver first class on a saturday to make it a shorter delivery
we are to leave mailsort and all the dhl/tnt rubbish till monday
anyone else heard this?

Apparently you can only leave mailsort 3 if you are on a 8and a half mon-friday contract.

Then Saturday is 5 and a half hours!!

Everything on a 8 hours a day delivery has to be taken and can be enforced!!

dunno about that but our lorry dont get to us till six thirty now and it used to be four thirty so if we revert back to our old times we have nowt to do for 2 hours till the lorry comes in except sort mailsort then 2 hours ips which dont leave enough for a full delivery hence the 1 st class theory

We went back to our old saturday start times in Liverpool after the unofficial action and we don,t sort or take ms3 in our office.

we were told last year at our office when the later starts come in it wont be so bad because the missort run would be ended..so when we started later recently the missort run was still going with the company moving the goal posts saying its on a trial period..yeah right wotever and im elvis..with the top union boys in the pocket of crozier with this agreement brought in today the early saturdays will no doubt go down the swanny as well..

dont just accept that...its part of a national agreement...take it up with your local cwu branch....ask them why RM are breaking the newly ratified agreement and if they do nothing go higher....then do the same with royal mail management! make enough noise till they eventually honour the agreement

I asked our union rep today if we would be going back to our early start times on saturday he said he would phone another rep and ask him what to do,the thing is he is usually to busy buying the manager coffee to actually have the bottle to stand up to a dictator.
