Okay so these local agreements are stacked against part timers in our workplace, just been informed that due to the bank holiday next week all part timers contracted to work Sunday night will have to attend Monday night! WTF?.

Is this the norm? Apparently it's a local effing agreement that nobody can actually find or read.

CWU need to understand it's not a two tier workforce Ffs

I don't know if it's in your local agreement. However, it is standard for Mail centre staff.

However, do check with the Area Reps as I believe there is a premium for attending on bank holidays, and in some circumstances, MCs start their shifts at midnight rather than at their normal time.

It's ridiculous!

What happens if the person has other employment on the Tuesday? It's another slap in the face for part-timers!
