Can anyone tell me if the criteria for IHR has changed?
I was given a review in November of last year that stated if RM could not find me indoor work for 39hrs I would meet the criteria for IHR.
We have had a change of manager and he is implying that all has changed and RM simply wants shot of employees like me, without the Lump Sum payment.
I have discussed this with our CWU reps and they seem to think I still would get the lump sum.
Has anyone any more up to date info on this?

The IHR process has not changed.
If you do want to go this would be classed as voluntary IHR and you would get a lump sum. This is made up of 34 weeks at basic pay plus PILON (pay in lieu of notice which is 9 weeks on top)
If you really don't want to go then a good rep could offer you other work and reasonable adjustments. I am not sure where you work in deliveries or at a mail centre.
The process is to try and find you another role before they consider ihr and there are two options with a lump sum or immediate pension. This is decided on how severe your condition is and whether it will improve.

What is the best way to go have so many aliments over the course of employment just keep soldering on but the will is not overcoming the pain factor anymore best way out advice without the two knitting needles up the nose and underpants on head reasons?

Just stay off for a long period and they will throw it at you.

Get your doctor to sign you off and ask if they will recommend you are no longer able to do the job.
No matter what they promise or threaten stay on the sick.
I was in the same situation . Both knees knackered and a double hernia.
Finished in March on IHR. Took three weeks in total from the day I went sick.
Best move I ever made.
