Overtime shift cancelled less than a days notice!!!

What rights do I have if an agreed overtime shift on delivery is cancelled the day before due to workload? This is happening regularly at our office with even people sent home when they come in with no notice. Is there any national procedure that should be followed for this or should there be an office agreement? P.S. please don't advise to ask my Rep they are clueless.

If you are put onto the rota they cannot take u off that rota unless the person you are covering ie sick comes back

It might hurt a bit but f they keep doing that the office should stop volunteering for overtime until they get the message

Overtime cancelled with less than a days notice oh dear you should try working for Angard I have had shifts cancelled with less than an hours notice. I am a union member the same as you but does the union do sweet FA

Just to refresh and hopefully get some advice. Not on any rota just asked to come in on day off (no specific duty) at start of week only to get message day before or on morning due to come in. Surely they have to give some notice.

Not sure about this but if say the screw says on Mon do you want to do docket Wed, and come Tue same screw say don't need you Wed now, then tbf there is nothing you can do.
Things change in a unit on a daily basis.

Now, if you came in on the Wed and screw says sorry not needed then that is not on, a good rep would get you a couple of hrs for wasting your time or possibly the full amount and for you to actually do some kind of work for it.

Managers are there to manage and it's their duty to contact you asap, not tell you when you've just walked in the door.

Pretty much what rep has advised. Cheers anyway. This is happening regular in our office. How not to build trusting work relationship with your workforce. Should all change once the new deal is voted in though!
