Special leave for death of step-dad??

Hi, a member in our office has just informed me his step-dad has passed away and asked about leave for the funeral. I have never come across this situation before can anybody help?? Thanks

Can be done in minutes on psp so don't take any crap if they decide to be awkward!
And tell them not to change day off to accommodate dom, which is a popular one.
