and my view
http://overpaidunderworked.blogspot.com/[/b]I am sorry but I can personally see no major changes from the offer that brought us out on a 2 48hour strikes and this one. Okay there is more Union involvement in local and national issues but the main reasons I supported the strikes have not been addresses merely delayed. It is my honest view that if we accept this agreement then the Union will be damaged and Royal Mail will be a less enjoyable place to work.

One Alternative I respectfully suggest is that they make the flexibility voluntary and offer a bond or bonus to those who accept it. This would allow those such as myself who have responsibilities outside of work and cannot be as flexible as RM want us to be , to continue to do a job they like. But also it would allow those who want or would like the extra payments that would come from flexibility feel as though they are getting something for it.
At the moment RM want flexibility but are not offering anything to sweeten the pill.
The big problem with this is that the Union and Socialists would see this as a further divide and conquer and I would tend t agree but at least both sides would feel as though they have gained something from the deal.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another bring D2Ds back into the deal and get it sorted. MCs and SO and the PEC wont be able to see why this is such a big deal for us in the DOs but its worth £30 a week to me and they need to make a decision on this NOW. I'll take 5 if they pay me for 5 (or maybe for 3) but they have to rewrite the rules. At the moment we are told so many different things about them in DOs nobody truly understands what the official line is.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Colleagueshares - I am afraid we've lost that argument but I still don't want them
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pensions - more transparency and less spin please.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stop using cutting back hours in DOs (I don't know anything about other functions) as a way to make savings. Its a false and ultimately destructive way to save money. Save money by making the system more efficient not just my cutting hours and bodies.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
More input on the shop floor for savings and efficiency targets and more protection of the targets. How many times and how many offices have felt in the past that they made the targets but all off a sudden RM have changed them at the last minute.

We all know that so post worker's use their car to their own cost so this will never work as a tool of industrial action by all mean's and i hope everyone does indeed do this but it will never get any pubilicity nor will have the desired effect within time span envisaged for the withdrawal of labour is the only mean's to bring this despute to a swift conclusion some thing that should have happened a long time ago!.davidessex wrote:now we know doing our jobs properly is very effective, all we need is everyones support.thehappyones wrote:LISTEN GUYS WHAT ARE THE ALTERNATIVES................BACK ON TH STREETS!!

okay guys thanx for the quick replys i am starting to see things in a different light now....but ma heed is completley fizzled with everything to do with this deal>>>>but the thing that has really surprised me is the feeling of everyone on RMC towards the deal , in my office (glasgow mail centre, not a word tommy, for the last 18 yrs ive worked their ive seen allsorts, done allsorts, and worked, sorry that should be still working with allsorts) i think people are going to vote yes , i seem to be leaning to a no vote myself now
