Light weight trollies

One of my members has been told he is to slow on delivery using LWT.
I remember the unrealistic walking speed for postmen royal mail tried to impose, it was pointed out army dont walk that fast. Is there any officially agreed speed for delivery of mail when using LWT by CWU and Royal Mail. I have been through all guides and agreements and cannot find any figures anywhere.

Are those planning values and not performance because I've had this same argument with various managers over the years.an average 4mph is so unrealistic when the original test it came from was for a 30 year old of average fitness,unladen for only an hour.it is a health and safety issue and one of the reasons people put their health at risk and don't use a trolley.we have newer signing on sheets in our office with no bag weights on them.also no way to weigh the bags,and that's also a health and safety issue.i have mentioned these things to our reps,managers and doms multiple times and I seems no one wants to do anything about it.no wonder people are off sick or medically retired so often now

Has it been suggested to this member of staff by the DIM that they should use a pouch on the shoulder instead because it's quicker? If so, your DIM is in the wrong because LWTs are mandatory equipment, their lack of use is supposed to be monitored and corrected by management according to agreements. If everyone who was supposed to use. one in my unit did so, they would need to put more deliveries in

It isn't monitored because the managers are too busy being postmen,although one told me the other day this was supposed to be stopping ,according to some idiot higher up. Bet it doesn't, either that or the USO will go.
