Hi I'm on maternity leave and due to go back in August I have decided I don't want to return to work does that mean I have to pay my maternity leave back.

You will not need to pay back the statutory maternity pay, if you recieved full pay for part of the period you may need to pay the difference between the smp and full pay, best advice is to phone hr they will tell you exactly if anything you would need to pay back

I already answered you on this Chloe. The answer actually came from the Womans officer at Branch. You would be required to pay back any amount above the statutory minimum.
