Speeding ticket?

Bit of a nightmare today. Thinking I may have got a speeding ticket. Can't be completly sure just have a feeling I might of. So tired my concentration may have lapsed. Then again I could be over thinking it. What would be the outcome of I did get one? A fine obviously but maybe a telling off too and a warning? Surely not sackable?

When it's happened at our office I don't think the driver even got a telling off so I wouldn't worry too much. Unless you already have 12 points on your licence of course

Don't worry about it,even if you did,it's only normal procedure,once the driver is identified it goes no further within the company. It'll probably cost you £90 plus a speed awareness course!

Firstly this is not a sackable or dismissal offence unless you have accumulated 12 points and receive a 12 month ban from driving which means you will no longer be able to perform your RM duty. Assuming you are not a professional driver with RM which would if banned from driving mean dismissal but if attached to delivery then arrangements could be made for you to continue in employment on a walk. Notification of speeding charge has to be issued in 2 weeks but in RM case they ould first have to determine where the vehicle is based and the driver at the time of the offence. Fine should be £ 60 with a further 3 points on the holders license but fine will be halved if payable within 30 days. If the speed recorded is marginally over the speed limit for that road you could take a chance on writing to the police authority who issued the speeding notice for consideration of it being dropped. You will have a 3 week wait at the utmost if your thinking was correct.
