I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Sick pay
It does, just in business speak:Steve c wrote:Cheers,That states in any one 12mth period, nothing about other paid absences over a 4yr period being deducted from said entitlement
Full rate will be paid for a maximum of 6 months in any
calendar year. Further periods will be paid at half rate.
However, there will be no pay when your absence totals
12 months or more (with or without pay) in any four
year period.
So if I read it right, if you go sick for 6 months in 1 year you go down to half pay. If you come back the clock resets 6 months later. If you then go sick again during the 4 years then you'll only get 6 months sick pay and after that - nothing, because you would have exceeded the 12 months paid or unpaid in 4 years rule.
However, I would get that confirmed officially before taking what I said as gospel. HR should be able to confirm.
