Pregnant!
Please could someone give me some advice, a month ago I found out I was pregnant. I've been off for a week under doctors orders because they suspected it could be an ectopic pregnancy and it needed investigating further. I'm not out of the woods yet but things are starting to look positive and as though the baby may be ok. I started working for Royal Mail April 2015 and I'm on 25 hours. Please can someone tell me what the process is when posties are pregnant? 90% of the walks in my office are big and heavy rounds. What usually happens? Thanks :))

Pregnant!
Firstly congrats on your pregnancy.
You will be considered disabled during your pregnancy and your unit should be completing monthly risk assessments with you and then adjusting your workload accordingly.
You should contact your branch equality officer and Area Safety rep for further advice.
Within your unit both unit rep and safety rep should also be made aware and should be making sure that the risk assessments are being completed and actioned.
Also your sickness is related to your pregnancy and therefore should be excluded from the attendance procedure.
You could always contact cwu Hq equality dept for further advice or message me if you have issues within the unit.
