Dockets??

Guys-

Firstly, i accept i am an idiot for not keeping accurate records of my O/T but at the start i was just concerned with getting the job done and getting the hell out of the door at the end of shift asap. Was under quite a bit of pressure when i started for first few months due to various factors so let my record keeping slip but did always fill in my dockets? Thing is, i was hired at one office and then after 2 weeks transferred to another which suited me as halfed my travel costs.

However, when i explained to management that i was short on my O/T one of them explained that my O/T had to sent to my hiring office and if either he was off or guy in other office was off it would be delayed. First he came back and told me it was 10 hours. I told him that seemed light. He then came back and said he had missed something and it was 17??? Wtf?? Hardly fills you with confidence does it?? Anyway, this scenario has kept going on since then till about Oct/November last year when i was officially transferred to my new DO. Management told me things would get better now because there would be no emailing etc and it would all be dealt with in my DO like everyone else.

They have got all my payslips since i started in January 2015 and have had for weeks but if i'm not happy with the figure they come back with can i ask to see my dockets and i'll work it out myself??

Basically what i'm saying is that i don't trust this bloody PSP and it's only as goos as the monkey that's putting info on it. If you've got a copy of your docket and your payslip you''re cutting out the middle monkey.

I take a photo of my docket at the end of evert week. Then check when wage slip comes following Friday. Regularly underpaid but I just hand it to DIM highlighting how short it is and it gets sorted. Not happening as much now. I guess theyve got the hint Im on to their slippery tactics!

Yup...that's the way to do it mate! Few boys i work with do that. I'm usually pretty meticulous at record keeping but am a creature of habit and just never got into doing it. For some reason i kept thinking i could always get a note of it on Saturday at end of week but in our DO dockets are always away by then. I queried this once and was told that no-one usually puts in OT on a Saturday and if you do just put in a separate docket. They have had my wage slips from January 2015 for a few weeks now but i just don't know if i can trust the OT they are going to give me. I really need these dockets so i can check myself properly!!

Also, here's another cracker. I was on a 25 hour contract from January to December but only found out near the end of this period thaf fellow part-timers who started after me on similar contracts were putting in 2.5 hours to take them up to 27.5 hours. One guy put in 2.5 hours at start of week and it was signed off and only reason i noticed was because i shared van with him for a couple of weeks. Another part-timer i worked told me he did similar but put in an extra half hour a day to take him to 27.5 hour. These guys were doing this regardless of whether they were over their time or not. I hadn't being putting this in and am f***ing livid about this!

Gets f***ing better......i kicked off about this and as a result 4 of us (me and 3 others who started after me) all got bumped up to 27.5hours at start of December. Was told this had gone right up the ladder too! However, these guys have being claiming 27.5hours as OT and i hadn't and they've told me they can quote their names when dealing with management. I bloody want mine back-dated or their in for a battle. I mentioned this to a manager and he gave me an example of ' say in the summer you were doing 5 hours a day we're not going to pay you an extra 2.5hours a week regardless of the fact that's it's a 27.5 hour duty because your only on a 25 hour contract'. Fair enough you might think......BUT why pay other guys it then.

They better sort this OT out soon and the back-dated pay or there's going to be a battle royale!

your bookroom ( if you have one) should have a copy of all dockets going back 2 years ( legal requirement to keep them for that long) - so you could go and ask them if you can have a look and add up all your docket and compare it to your wage slips

I might suggest not calling them monkeys when you ask though
