Accident at work, sickness status?
I had an accident while working which has required me to have some time off work, will the time off go on my sick record or does it get written off?

Accident at work, sickness status?
It WILL go on you sick record.
But the issue isn't if it's on your record but if they count it towards the Reviews for the stages. In this case "normally" accidents on duty are not counted, unless the manager believes your actions contributed significantly to the accident.
DIrect Quote from attendance agreement:

DIrect Quote from attendance agreement:
Absences which result from accidents
on duty will normally be discounted
when deciding whether the attendance
standards have been reached or
maintained. Such absences will still be
reviewed on return to work

discussed at the welcome back meeting
In exceptional circumstances the manager
may review the accident on duty related
absence and decide that the absence
should be considered under the formal
attendance process. Further details can
be found in the Managing Short Term and
Informal Absence Review Discussions Guide
There may be circumstances when an absence
due to an accident at work may be counted
towards the formal attendance process and
therefore considered during an attendance review
meeting, for example where the accident has
been caused by the employee’s own negligence
or if the number of accidents have reached
an unacceptable level. Managers should seek
advice from the HR Advice Centre when deciding
whether it is appropriate to count the absence.

Accident at work, sickness status?
'where the accident has been caused by the employee’s own negligence'
It seems ANY accident (other than a piano falling on your head) is likely to be considered you own negligence by RM. Slips, trips, falls, all avoidable one way or another according to RM.
This is why no-one should check their mail while they walk - certainly never admit to doing it.
