Wage error

By mistake my name was sent instead of a colleagues regarding a contract change of hours that hadn't been implemented. So my wage had the overpayments deducted leaving me very short. I was told it would be corrected and the difference back paid but checked the bank this morning (as I've not received my pay slip yet) and it looks to be less than half what I'm expecting. Can I demand it corrected and the difference credited to my bank account?

You can demand it but that won't force a payment, only way to force it would be a small claims court but certainly keep at them till they get it right
