Unfortunately i believe this BAD deal will get voted in, so i think we need to re organise the cwu. I think we should break it down it to areas ie. ne,nw,se,sw,central,scottish,welsh and n.ireland and each one of these areas should elect someone from there area to sit on the pec, from there area. also seen as this deal seems to be look after youselfs as best you can, regional an local unionism is our only form of defence!! We need to take our union back and that means we need to change the cwu from top to bottom, an it is vitally important that we remove the men at the top(ward/hayes) asap!!! This deal represents a complete sell out, nows the time to take our union back!!!

Although we DO need local representation on the PEC, dividing up the Union is (in my opinion) a very dangerous idea. A Union gets its strength from the Unity of it's Membership, and splitting it up would weaken it.

How about simply having limiting each Branch to a maximum of 1 representative for PEC Membership?
There could be a local election, for who would be put forward, if more than one Candidate wanted to be considered.

Well I think, if this deal goes through we have effectivley agreed to the dividing of the union anyway and the PEC who have recommended it to us for vote have endorsed the ending of the union. Therefore, a reorganising or taking back of our union can only be a positive move forward from the current situation.

That's just one of the many problems with the deal. However, if we can change the people at the top, we have a chance of stopping the rot.

Several times, people have suggested a vote of no confidence. But how do we do that?
How long does it take?
Would it have a good chance of succeding?
If it failed, would they be able to take disciplinary action against those who arranged it?
Would we be better waiting till they are next up for re-election?

Anyone got any answers?
