no weekly pay rise only a lump sum and all that conditional on 22 strings
that would save the business 350 million a year

the proposed pay agreement is nothing like the first offer
you might not be happy with it but to make rash statements doesnt help informed debate

Although you are correct in what us say with regards to initial offer being a long way from the current offer. I think what Star dust is trying to mark upon is that the current offer was pretty much already put to us before any IA took place... Thus really saying why would we accept this offer when we went on strike for a offer that was more or less the same. It isn't very hard to read into what he is suggesting if you try, instead of getting stroppy and nasty, which doesn't help an informed debate either. Star dust is totally entitled to air his oppinions and in my opinion he is far from being rash.

What happened to our Union's statement of, "match inflation pay than beat it"?

I may be wrong but im sure they wanted us to take a pay freeze at first.

i spoke to 1 guy from the union and his exact words to me were that we are better than a 2.5 % pay deal i told him i would have been happy with that as long as all the strings were removed so what have our union really achieved then because they
never got what they wanted and also the union is already starting to split just what :cfo :lfo wanted and if local negotiations come into it the i think the union will be finnished so well done :lfo :cfo they have played a blinder more than what i can say about the union
