Injury not going away
been off work recently for 3 weeks with a shoulder injury which has been constant for over a year . Got a stage warning because of this even though they know I've been struggling for a long time. Spent a lot of money trying to get myself better , been told I'd probably need a few months off for it to heal completely . Just worried bout my job if I do . Kelly

Re: Injury not going away
Get yourself referred to OH Assist if the manager hasn't done it already. OH will speak with you and make an assessment of what treatment, if any, you require. Following that a rehab plan will be put in place that will ease you back into work. Any injuries, particularly, leg, back and shoulder damage will take time to heal given the workloads we are expected to deal with.

Re: Injury not going away
How do you go about getting referred to OH Assist? I'm recovering from knee surgery, 5 weeks off work on crutches so far, another 4 weeks to go. Surely management can't expect you to go straight back on full duties after this?

Do Oh assist get in touch with you regarding physio? Was never mentioned at my meeting with Dom , although oh assist told me I would get some physio when they called.

Re: Injury not going away
I have been off for two months with a slipped disc and severe sciatic pain.
After about 3-4 weeks my DOM referred me to OH Assist and they organised
some physiotherapy which is helping.
I speak with the DOM once a week on the phone to keep him updated as to my recovery (which has been slow). To be fair he has
not put any undue pressure on me and his concern for my welfare seems genuine.
I will go back when I feel able and because I was referred to OH Assist I will go back on light duties with a staged return
to full delivery over a period of about 4 weeks.

Re: Injury not going away
Looks like I'm getting a referral to OH Assist when I get back to work at the end of the month (I had knee arthroscopy ~ 9 weeks ago
) Going to be a while till I get back on delivery as it takes me to walk round the house, let alone round the block...
