Does seniority come into it to get sent to mail centre for xmas

Post by Route1 »

Ive asked to be sent to the the mail centre for xmas pressure. Dom says leave it with him as he will look into it. This means no without saying it. A senior collegue has told me i got no chance.

In the past the dom has told me that duty holders dont get sent......following year i pointed out thingybob went. Over the years been one excuse or another. Now its 'operational needs'. Only been in the job for 8 years...think they can survive without me.

I want to go because its 'easy' money, stress free and the 12 hour night shift would suit me. I know it will be mindnumbing boring but cant be worse than the backshift callers office @ xmas.

A collegue mentioned that it goes on seniority who gets to go to the mail centre. Is there any truth in this?

Easy money & stress free were intended as jokes incase someone takes offence.
