In all fairness again you probably right but we must make the turnout as big as possible for if all is lost then their will be no hope for the very future you must all VOTEIf you do not vote then royalmail will use your apathy as a willingness to go with their plan's of the DUTCH MODEL part time for the many full time for the few!

I think the deal is crap and I want to vote NO, however even if a no vote is carried I don't think the union is managed well enough to improve the deal.
There will be more strikes with more strike breakers than last time and more money lost for nothing.

surely, influencing peoples voting decisions is a fundemental part of the democatic process

Now there are the talkers and there are the do'ers the people who in life talk about all the changes and ways to make things better in an IDEAL world BUT they sit about and do feck all apart from TALK.... Then there are the people who stand up and be accountable for there morals and judgements... MAKE A STAND FOR THERE BELIEFS..... THE PEOPLE WHO NOT ONLY WANT CHANGE AND A BETTER LIFE FOR ALL BUT THEY WILL ACTIVELY GO OUT AND SHOW IT IN ACTIONS..... Now im not talking anarchy here or violence..... Im talking making yourselves heard and creating a train of thought all for the greater good.... Some call it CRAZY rable rousing???? Some just call it there RIGHTS.... Use your vote! Workers gave their lives so you could vote and belong to a trade union.
For me the question is simple will I be fit and able to spend my greatly reduced pension at 65 NO! will I be able to get by without asking the government for a handout when I retire NO!
On the other hand will Leighton and Crozier still afford to fly to New York for Xmas every year YES! Will they still wear suits that cost more than a month of my pay YES! Will they be able to live the life they are accustomed to YES!
Now, I am not jealous, I only want what I signed up for which was a final salary pension. I earn £16,000 a year, I have worked for RM and served the public for 10 years, I also served in the Army for 10 years I am now being told by 2 no marks that I have to work longer for less! Mr Leighton and Mr Crozier I hope you enjoy your retirements, I hope that someone does not come along and s**t all over your plans!.
I will be on the gate when the union calls.

People seem to think that because you can vote for or against you have to otherwise it is a waste.
That is not true at all. Voting NO because I am 60% sure it is the right thing to do is not a clever move because I also believe that YES is 60% the better option.
I will totally back the result of the vote but I'll leave the decision to those that have more to lose or gain than I do.

My vote isn't wasted, it is undecided.

The only people who are passionate about this deal either for or against are on this forum.

Go back to your offices on Monday and chat to all and sundry, you will find that hardly anyone cares. If they bother to vote at all it will be yes. 90% of the voters will not have read the full agreement and in many cases those who have read it in part probably don't see the implications.

The workforce today is a much more varied to one of 20 years ago. 20 years ago there wasn't 1 woman in my office which then numbered about 70. No-one was part time. Everyone started their shift at the same time, everyone sorted.

The delivery office environment has changed beyond recognition. At least 30% of those who say they will vote No will really vote Yes.

What will swing the vote for a big NO in our office is the arrogance of the 'managers'. They're already acting as if there has been a YES vote, and I see it as a duty to relieve them of the idea that we have voted to be shafted by their masters and that set of professional socialists based in Wimbledon.
