Requesting a reference.
Can anyone out there tell me how I can obtain a reference from Royal Mail. Managers at my old office don't want to know and gave me some bullshit story that they can't give personal references and it must be done through personnel department. After 19 years service it is disgraceful I am being treat this way. I have been offered a job and the only thing they are waiting for is this work reference. I rang the helpline on one of my old payslips but I am still no farther forward.

Re: Requesting a reference.
I think that is true, heard from several sources you will only get a basic reference from HR with dates worked and a statement along the lines of 'X has a satisfactory work record'.flowerflump wrote:Can anyone out there tell me how I can obtain a reference from Royal Mail.
