Closure of DO

Apologies if this has been asked before. News through the grapevine is that our DO and another local one are being closed and moved to a "hub" about 4 miles away. How much notice do RM have to give us for this move and/or changes to our start times? Will we have a say in our start times as part of a revision? Will we receive any payment for transportation and if so how much and for how long? Thanks for any replies in advance

When our d.o. moved we recieved a yearly payment for three years, can't remember how much though.
I do remember you didnt get this payment if the move meant the d.o. was now nearer to your home.

When we moved to another office around 2 miles further out of town, we got maximum money if £443 every 6 months for 3 years

Yes T&C conditions can and are changed by agreements. If RM had changed them after privatisation without agreement the Union would have started screaming by now. We have had no major new agreements since privatisation.

In effect both the 2 year and 5 year statemments are correct as T&Cs and agreeements are under review by both sides continually.
