I've been on amended duties since September 2014 due to my achillies snapping. I've been to OHS but not recommended for ihr but since then I got a very abrupt phone call from my dom telling me he was reducing my hours from 39 - 30 which I said you can't just do that. Then he started telling me I wasn't wanted at his office etc. So I ended the call as told him this shouldn't be done over the phone. Since then I've been off sick with depression and anxiety and am on medication. I've received a letter saying he wants to discuss how to slowly getting back to work but I don't feel like I'm mentally right and I'm covered by a doctors certificate. Do I have to attend this meeting if covered by a doctors certificate? Also Can he stop my pay as he is threatening he can?
Please help

Re: advice needed please
you must maintain contact, it might be better in person at A N Other office with your rep or a trusted friend or work colleague, that way you have a witness to events. You will then have the opportunity to put the question to your DOM " the last time we spoke i was so shocked at your comments i had to cut the convesation short as you said (1) i wasn't wanted in the office and (2) you will be reducing my hours and (3) you will be stopping my pay till i returned, thankfully i was taking notes as i tend to do when we spoke so i would be grateful if you could please elaborate on these highly stressful comments/issues" .
Confused... You won't be, after the next episode of. SOAP

So he's making you part time because you're off sick. Sounds like a beauty this one. Make sure you reel off everything you've stated here, and the affects it's had, to OH Assist... And we'll see you back when you're fit.

Contact a rep as soon as you can.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
