Sick Pay

Post by ScousePostie »

Hi,

I've had to take time off work after I had a cycling accident over the weekend. I informed my manager at the start of my absence (Tuesday) and have since recieved a letter this morning from my manager telling me that I may be entitled to recieve SSP at the current rate, but no information on how to apply for SSP.

As far as I understand, SSP can only be applied for after 4 days absence from work, but as this seems to be the case due to my injury, I've started looking into this now. How do I apply for SSP?

Regards,

If your a new starter ie less than a year with RM then ssp is paid automatically if entitled to it. You dont need to claim for it
