Attendance Agreement

Post by calum1502 »

If a colleague is issued with a stage 1, should it be dated on the day he resumes work? He is refusing to sign as the date Manager wants to issue it is a full week after he started back . Seems unfair .

Not signing it means nothing,it is still issued.
1 week is good!
There are stories on here that some have been issued 3 months later and even more!Although some get kicked out.
Tell your colleague not to get too stressed about it.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Thanks . Dont think he is getting stressed . Think its more the principle that surely the stage 1 prompt should be dated when he resumed .

I have a situation where I went for a stage one meeting on Friday, next day I was given the notes back to check, and told that I would find out the decision in two weeks time when the manager gets back from leave. Is that right? I thought he would tell me straight away

The stage one would start on the date of the stage one meeting. Says this on the letter confirming that you've been given the stage. Bit unfair but as said, a week between coming back and having the meeting is good.
