Realignment exercise

Post by dazthetazman »

Quick question, can an MCM and union rep agree to abolish duties from one shift stating its "within the lines of the realignment exercise", yet no other shift or MC have done so?

Yes he can but he should have had a vote on it first, he shouldn't be agreeing to any changes like that without a vote on the matter but yea ultimately he can agree to it.

thanks, there was no vote either by management, union members or staff, we were just told there's 20+ duties gone and there's nothing we can do.

Rep should have held a vote on it and went to disagreement if necessary. I would be asking your rep why he didn't hold a vote and take it from there, either by getting someone else to stand against him in next rep election or by going above him to area rep et
