ROYAL MAIL GROUP - IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 2.8% PAY INCREASE

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

LTB 219/15 ROYAL MAIL GROUP - IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 2.8% PAY INCREASE

To: All Branches with Postal Members

Dear Colleague

ROYAL MAIL GROUP - IMPLEMENTATION OF THE 2.8% PAY INCREASE

We have received confirmation from the company that the 2.8% pay increase (flowing through to overtime, SA, allowances and London Weighting) will be implemented on the 24th April 2015 for weekly paid staff and on the 30th April for monthly paid.

As explained previously, the delay was due to initial uncertainty over the inflation review clause and the fact that the company had not programmed their payroll systems early enough.

I can also confirm that the pay increase is backdated to the 6th April (as per the original agreement) and that all backdated monies will be paid on the same dates set out in the first paragraph.

Please ensure the content of this LTB is circulated to all workplaces.

Any enquiries on the above LTB should be addressed to the DGS (P) Department.

Yours sincerely

Dave Ward
Deputy General Secretary (P)

What allowances, they've all gone, I've lost my driving allowance £30 a week down, so this isn't really a pay rise for me, I'm still down money :-(

From what I'm hearing payroll have already increased the POAL deductions to take account of the increase in pay which is a bit cheeky lol considering they allegedly couldn't process the actual pay rise in time and yes, we did get paid today.

Looking at my payslip there's an increase in pension contributions which might be confusing some peeps.

Rubbish if your a network driver or 17 ton driver you got a pay rise of £27,000 a year or £30,000 if you live in London so how can you possibly be worse off plus if you work nights and extra £3,000 a year so how possibly can you be worse off

Hi, just a quick question on the pay rate of Agnard staff. I was a postman a few years ago (not through agnard) and left to do my studies and I decided to come back on a part time bases and I got a position recently(waiting for ID etc). Does anyone know what are the pay rates, the guy in the recruitment event said it's a minimum wage rate (£6 something) is that true? Even for night shifts? What about the increase, does it include agency staff?

Yes its true Angard until they are AWR (Agency Workers Regulations) qualified get just above minimum wage. Also the different units pay different amounts for the different shifts so you'll need to check with Angard Pay, or other Angardees for the different pay rates.
