Can I go off for a year?!

Post by mervyng2 »

Hello Everyone!!!
Just want to enquire about my job. I have been working part time as a postman for last 2 years and been studying at the same time and recently completed a degree. I am planning to study further and that means giving up this job is inevitable. I just want to know if I can go off for a year and then come back to carry on next year. I just want to know if they can keep me on their payroll (obviously without pay) and allow me off for a year. Just wondering. Looking forward to your replies.

Thanks

Not sure where you would stand on a temp contract. However, I am half way through a career break (1 year) so the agreement still exists.
