A member in my delivery office is a part time Wed - Sat 6 hour day contract and his walk is covered on Mon / Tue by lapsing.
two weeks ago none of the Mon / Tue D2D's went out, the postie refused to delivery tham as he would not have time and does not want to work over.
the DOM told him he had to and he still refused.
his pay packet last week had -£7 Del Supp!!
I know he should not have refused to do the D2D's and should have cut off etc ( I was on Annual Leave so knew nothing of this until this morning )
Can the DOM do this? and if he can't how do I go about getting my member his Del Supp back?

Re: taken away del supp.
I thought the delivery supplement was nothing to do with door to doors. It is a payment for working in delivery. At least that is what RM told us. I don't think the DOM can claw back the DS for not doing d2ds, using their own rules, that is.

I thought the same thing, but no other reason to have his delivery supplement removed as far as I am aware.

Has the DOM challenged the staff who didn't do them on the Monday and Tuesday?

Re: taken away del supp.
Firstly, how much does this Postie normally receive in Del Supp?his pay packet last week had -£7 Del Supp!!
Secondly, contact HR Payroll to ask why they have been underpaid?
Thirdly, you can then contact the DOM to ask why he has deducted this amount thru PSP, and challenge accordingly, normally once challenged outside of their own remit they will adjust their pay to the correct amount
Hope this helps

Re: taken away del supp.
This is a waste of Rep's time. The postie could and should have taken the d2ds: he could cut off or he could just take the d2ds for where he was going; and by Saturday all the Mondays and Tuesday d2ds will have been cleared.
Of course, it is annoying for others to leave work and then being hassled by the manager... For it not to be done on the Monday and then Tuesday is a real issue and that is where the Rep could have a better input to make sure it does not happen again.
