Re: repick
Seniority, except for ring fenced duties which have been adapted/designed for an individual because of protected characteristics under the Equality Act (formerly DDA) but these should have been identified during the planning stage and would not be in the repick as such anyway.col456xyz wrote:hi

However, if people have protected characteristics it does not automatically mean a duty will be ring fenced for them, a duty can be adapted/modified after it has been selected if this approach has been risk assessed. Basically Managers and Reps need to identify duties and people and plan accordingly and be guided by the H&S legislation and advice from OH Assist, for each case.

I thought that pay protection also plays a part.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Seniority, except for ring fenced duties which have been adapted/designed for an individual because of protected characteristics under the Equality Act (formerly DDA) but these should have been identified during the planning stage and would not be in the repick as such anyway.col456xyz wrote:hi

Re: repick
Not sure if it plays any part now as very few DOs have night shifts and there are loads of drivers posts in the new DM offices. But technically you are correct.roger wrote:I thought that pay protection also plays a part.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Seniority, except for ring fenced duties which have been adapted/designed for an individual because of protected characteristics under the Equality Act (formerly DDA) but these should have been identified during the planning stage and would not be in the repick as such anyway.col456xyz wrote:hi
