I'll health retirement.what am I entitled to?

Post by Thunderthighs »

I am currently off due to to ill health...unknown viral infection. RM manager has 'suggested' I'll health retirement. I am considering All my options but....what could I expect for 10 years service, part time, 25 hours per week? Personally I feel I would be able to return to work, but am interested in what they May offer and then go self employed/find alternative work. I'm under 60yrs of age and otherwise quite healthy, fit, active and a non drinker or smoker. They may be overreacting but I would like to know what I am LEGALLY Entitled to. Many thanks for any advice or information!

actually as you specifically asked, LEGALLY your not actually entitled to anything as a payout, there is no statutory right to a payout

Manager can't suggest dick!

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
