Re: Exhausted sick pay
I stand to be corrected but I think it is four years. So you should start being paid again October 2015, that is my understanding.

Re: Exhausted sick pay
I think it is 3 years, again I am not sure, so I hope somebody reading this post can provide you with the answer. I had 6 months off in 2011 and I'm sure I was told by the union if I went sick during the next 3 years I would not receive any sick pay. Can anyone confirm this? If not call Royal Mail HR. The number is on your wage slip. As for IHR depending how old you are the lump sum would soon go. Then try getting another job when you tell them you were medically retired from your previous job. If your are of retirement age and you have an income coming in then great . If not, think very carefully before you take that route. It also affects your pension and national insurance contributions towards your state pension . You need at least 35 years contributions.

Re: Exhausted sick pay
Yea I was offered IHR 2011 but because the doctor said I should recover enough to resume work in the future .the reason I was off so long was due to a heart attack I had to be revived in the ambulance on the way to heart hospital .after operation I had a long time to get my confidence back and return to work. my heart attack was November 18 th 2010 when I was 56.Since returning to work 2011 early 2012 I have had sickness but not enough to trigger stage warning.thanks for your replies.ps idid phone hr but they said I would have to look at the terms and conditions they didn't know can't find any copy anywhere.
