p/t reserve loaned out

Hi as a reserve I know I can be asked to work in other delivery offices, but what I need to know is, do I have to use my own car to get there, also should I sign on and off at my own DO?
I don't particularly want to use my own car as its at least a 45 min drive each way to other office.
As i am also part time 5.5 hours daily what happens if I go over my time?

No - in fact if you are not 1 of the 100 offices that can use Private Cars on delivery then you are not covered by your own insurance and definitely not covered by RMs bond. Commuting insurance only covers to your "Normal" place of work and not travelling to another.

Yes. Further you should sign on and off at your normal times, unless you want to the overtime.

They must either provide the transport or reimburse you for any costs (train, Bus fare) (Mileage if your insurance covers you).

You claim overtime, but don't forget your time finishes back at your own office not the other office.

This is all Covered in the Pay and Modernisation 2009 agreement - in the flexibility section - Working in other offices.

No you don't have to use your own car,it should be RM that gets you to and from the other DO and also if say for example your hours are 8am - 1.30 pm then you report to your normal delivery office at 8am and make sure you are back there at 1.30pm.For what it's worth it seem bloody stupid to send you to another DO when you are working 5.5 hours and 1.5 hours are going to be taken as travelling but that's RM for you.

Thanks for the replies...im now getting a van from other depot to use back and forward to mine. Told I will be paid travelling time, I am assuming that will be over and above my 5.5 hours, therefore o/t ?
Don't mind doing a bit extra as o/t as long as I'm paid for it.

Just to note, I added business use to my policy this year and it made no difference to the price of the premium.

I'd rather not be adding all the extra miles to my car.
Happy enough to use there's for the 90 minute round trip.
