Annual leave into the pc then maybe taken away

Iam a leave reserve so im down in the pecking order of priority holidays. I wrote mine on.the sheet then last week i was asked by the admin guy to follow me.into the office where he put all my holidays into.the computer. I presumed that was it as he never told me they werent honoured.One of the half term weeks I wanted he told me I cant have that week but I can have my second choice so naturally im under the impression the holidays for me were set.!! Iam the only person he did this for and being a leave reserve and not a regular postie i thought he was honoring them.
Today we had a meeting and the management said the holiday forms were going up next week. I double checked about my leave as we have just booked a villa for 2 weeks and he said no.
I went to my rep who thought it was bad that the admin guy sat with me and entered all my holidays into.the pc giving me a false sense that they were honoured.
I have just paid 800 quid on this villa.

Firstly annual leave is not select by seniority anymore another system must be used. So being a leave reserve rather than a duty holder means nothing now with regards to annual leave

Secondly I would get your rep to help you put a grievance in straight away as you rightly thought you had been given those holiday dates and booked accordingly you should get them honoured
